Hey, I’m Caprice.
I help educators have diverse and inclusive learning environments and ensure they are actively anti-racist in their practice.
Who am I?
I am a Black, queer cisgender woman and my pronouns are she/her. I’ve been a primary school educator in Bristol for the past 8 years. I run a community group for mixed heritage families called Beyond the Mix Families, am the education lead for Black Mothers Matter and also work directly with schools and education settings like yours!
What do I do?
Drawing from my lived experiences, I bring a unique perspective to my work, centering race and LGBTQ+ inclusion in all that I do. My approach is collaborative, working alongside educators and families to create cohesive, supportive environments where children are always at the heart of our efforts. My work includes:
1:1 Consultancy: Partnering with senior leadership teams and setting managers to develop inclusive strategies.
Family Sessions: Guiding families on how to talk to children about race and racism.
Antiracist Practice Training: Workshops and sessions to build confidence in fostering antiracist environments.
Curriculum Support: Assisting with curriculum planning, including meaningful approaches to Black History Month and Pride Month.
Together, we can create spaces where every child feels seen, valued, and empowered to thrive.
